Our big summer garden is still full of cover crop– it’ll be a month before we can plant anything there. But thankfully we’ve been able to use this beautiful weather to get the spring garden in!
This photo is taken from right outside the door to the family room, with the herb garden behind you. On the left, behind the holly bush, you can see the peas that I planted earlier this week. In the space around the peas I planted onions and garlic. On the other side of the path are the salad greens. We have one surprisingly lush swish chard plant from last fall that somehow managed to survive the winter. In front of the deck I’ve started preparing the ground for the potatoes which I hope to get in sometime this week! Now, lets just hope that the weather doesn’t turn cold again and kill everything I’ve planted!
