We planted more tomatoes, peppers and basil today bringing our total up to 86 tomatoes, 36 peppers, 30 cucumbers, 17 basil, a dozen or so cotton, 3 squash (or something- they came back from last year), and a 30ft+ row each of two kinds of beets, two kinds of bush beans, collards, carrots and turnips. And we’ve still got an empty row in case we feel like adding something else. Hopefully by mid July we will be drowning in produce! Almost everything we are growing can be preserved in some way (canned, frozen, jammed or pickled) so we are eager for a big harvest!
would you like mom’s pressure cooker. I used to can my tomatoes but will be happy to give it to you.
