This blog records the Kentucky farm adventure of Laura & Chris. We bought our first home near Lexington, KY in April 2011. Our little farm sits on 5 acres. We have a 3.5 acre pasture that will eventually be filled with Shetland sheep, a vegetable garden and 25 chickens and one spoiled dog. Laura runs a hand painted yarn company called The Unique Sheep and Chris is a resident at the University of Kentucky’s hospital.
Hey Laura and Chris,
Love the farm pictures.
Sounds like the two of you are on a real adventure.
I’m so excited to have found your blog! My fiance and our two sons just started our little farm about 30 south of lexington, not far from you. Good luck with everything and I’m eager to keep up with your adventures 🙂
How exciting Tiffany! What do you raise (or plan to raise) on your farm? Other than boys, that is.
Hi! I love that I just found your blog (via the Debbie’s Back Porch fb group!). I live in Richmond! I don’t have my farm (yet…I do really want some chickens and goats, though…maybe sheep…probably some other stuff 🙂 ), but I do have a big garden and love to do some canning and whatnot when I can!
Hi I am Deva prasath from Chennai,India. found your site from USDA blog..Great to see the vegetable garden farm. Can u give some tips on good soil fertility?
