2012 is our first full year in Kentucky, so this year we’ll be able to do a better job of getting the garden in on time and are even putting in a spring garden.
The summer was very dry and our gardens suffered, giving us a much smaller yield than we had hoped for. Now that fall has arrived and we are getting more rain, we are hoping that we can at least have a decent fall crop.
Wow…love this. Are you eating the veggies now? How did the corn do?
We’ve been eating beans and squash from the garden for a couple of weeks now and have just started to get cucumbers and zucchinis. We’ve got green tomatoes which should redden up soon. The corn is growing but not quite ready yet. Our growing season in northern KY is quite a ways behind NC so we are trying to be patient!
